In 2014, Wilsons fame exploded over the pond in a greater way by announcing her participation as a character on Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart an unreliable young woman who has a past of dark who gets involved with the husband of her dreams, Noah Solloway. Wilson, along with Mauratierney as well as Joshua Jackson won a Golden Globe as Best Actress for a Television Series-Drama in the year 2015. Wilson stated in British Vogue: "I love that I can play characters in two perspectives." Noah imagines Alison's sexy, confident, unresponsible side of sexiness. In 2018, she will be adding another film of horror to her credits when she stars in the British version of The Little Stranger, a supernatural thriller based on the novel of Sarah Waters. Wilson is also executive producing the film.
